Wellness Fair brings information and inspiration to PCLA

New Westminster – Pioneer Community Living Association hosted its first Wellness Fair at the New Westminster Library on Nov. 19, 2013. The event brought together more than 60 PCLA clients with health and wellness services from across Metro Vancouver.

“The event was a great success,” says Colleen Dewar, PCLA executive director and presenter at the fair.

“We had fantastic support and attendance from community agencies with many requesting to come back again next year, says Danielle Haaf, Millers Way activity coordinator, and organizer of the event.

PCLA residents had many positive comments to say about the Wellness Fair including: “It was inspiring.”; “Everything I learned was important.”; and “She helped me relieve my stress.”

It was an informative event for residents and staff alike. “We learned a lot from the presenters as well,” says Haaf. “I certainly found out more about the agencies in our area and how they can help our clients.”
